The constraint
Coastal proximity attacks anything ferrous. The owners also wanted a fully retracting glass wall onto the pool terrace — a large opening that has to stay operable in a corrosive environment and stay dry in a September storm.

What we did
Marine-grade stainless throughout, powder-coated aluminium rail systems with galvanic separation at every dissimilar-metal junction, and a roof overhang deep enough that the opening stays dry with the wall fully retracted.
Outcome
Two green seasons in with no corrosion on the rail hardware and no water entry at the sliding threshold.
